SafeSport Officer and Screening Committee
Every club should have a SafeSport Officer. This person should be on the Board of Directors or report to a Board member responsible for overseeing SafeSport. The SafeSport officer should oversee policy compliance, act as a resource for club members, and initiate education opportunities.
The SafeSport Officer might create a SafeSport Committee (link to new content, below) to help oversee this work. At a minimum, the club must have a Screening Committee (link to new content, below) responsible for implementing the Screening Policy. This can be a committee of one or three people.
